Today marks the second anniversary of the launch of Kiri Kiri Basara. It’s unbelievable that two years have already passed since we started reporting on Science Adventure news and other SciADV-related content.
In last year’s anniversary article, I talked about how Kiri Kiri Basara came to be. In this year’s anniversary article, I want to share some interesting statistics related to the site that we have collected over the past two years.
Over the past two years, we have had 115,175 total page views on the site. From that amount, almost 5,000 page views came from the article about the Amadeus Kurisu Realization Project, written by Davixxa. To this day, this is our most-read article. The second most-read article was the article about the release of the Steins;Gate alarm clock app written by me, which has over 3,600 page views. The third most-read article talks about the release date of Steins;Gate: My Darling’s Embrace—it was written by Fasty, and has around 3,500 page views.
Unsurprisingly, most of our visitors come from Reddit and Twitter (45% and 30% respectively). These appear to be two of the most frequented social media platforms for SciADV fans. Ever since we launched our Facebook page, we have given a fair boost to the SciADV series’ presence on Facebook—as of right now, 20% of our visitors come from there.
Here are some other interesting statistics: most of our visitors come from the USA (35%), followed by Canada (5.3%), the United Kingdom (5.1%), Japan (4%) and Russia (3.7%).
One statistic that surprised me is that 56% of Kiri Kiri Basara’s viewers visit the site on their mobile phones, while 41% visit on their desktop computers. The rest (3%) visit the site on tablet devices. With this in mind, I will continue to work to make the mobile phone version of Kiri Kiri Basara the best that it can be.
That will be all for this year’s anniversary article. I want to thank all of you for visiting this site and supporting it over the last two years, and I want to thank my team for sticking with me for so long. Here’s hoping that the coming years will be just as successful as the first two have been!
