The following article is a recap of three pieces of Science Adventure news that were too small for their own individual articles. We have compiled them here for your reading convenience. Enjoy!
The upcoming Robotics;Notes Elite localization has been rated under PEGI (Pan European Game Information), and has been deemed appropriate for players ages 12 and over.
North America’s ESRB (Entertainment Software Rating Board) meanwhile, has not officially listed a rating for the game yet. Spike Chunsoft’s website indicates that the game will be rated T (ages 13 and up) under ESRB, but it’s possible that this is only a temporary estimation.
Interestingly, the PEGI listing for the game lists January 31, 2020 as the game’s release date. As we are already well into February, it isn’t clear why this date was listed—on one hand, it may have been a placeholder release date. On the other hand, the game may have been internally delayed by Spike Chunsoft for one reason or another.
Though infrequent, the game’s Steam PC port has is continuing to receive updates, if SteamDB is any indication. Its last record update was on February 13, 2020, which suggests that development of the port is ongoing.
Siliconera has published an interview with key members of Strangely Compelling, the localization company behind the Steins;Gate: Linear Bounded Phenogram and Steins;Gate: My Darling’s Embrace localizations (in addition to Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds, another MAGES.-developed game).
This interview goes in-depth about the localization process of both games and provides other very insightful information.
According to Mike McNamara, CEO of Strangely Compelling, “I think there is still some massive untapped potential when it comes to making games accessible to a wider audience. If the fans show a huge interest in the Science Adventure series, it will allow us to work on even more sequels, like the Robotics;Notes franchise, which… hopefully will be coming out soon.”

January 26, 2020 was a busy day for the Science Adventure series: announcements of a new Steins;Gate Hollywood live action series and Steins;Gate 0 Elite were made on that day, among others.
It may have been easy to miss, therefore, that the SciADV series’ official website also underwent a major overhaul in January. Among the new additions to the site are dedicated pages for each title in the series, a timeline of series releases, and comments from several individuals who have worked on the series.
If there are any lingering doubts that Occultic;Nine and Anonymous;Code are part of the Science Adventure series, they can be put to rest. The two titles are listed alongside every other Science Adventure title on the website, suggesting that their former “Science Visual Novel” label has been formally dropped.
For comparison’s sake, here is a link to the archived version of the old website. As you can see, the site saw some major changes with this update!
That will be all for today’s round-up. As always, we will continue to strive to keep you updated on the latest news in the Science Adventure series.
