UPDATE: Barnes and Noble’s listing was recently updated to indicate availability of the book around November 16, as opposed to the previously reported date of November 3.
Fans looking to get their hands on Steins;Gate: The Complete Manga‘s new hardcover release have been noticing that the book has not gone in stock at Barnes & Noble, the bookseller where it is expected to be sold exclusively; we have been able to confirm that this is a temporary issue caused by a transit delay, and it will likely be resolved in the coming days.
UDON Entertainment, the book’s publisher, has commented on the situation on their Instagram account:
Individuals who preordered the book via Barnes & Noble’s website also received an email from the bookseller today, which confirms the delay and offers a new estimated release timeframe: on or around November 3.
As pointed out by community member UGamer81, Barnes & Noble does not allow customers to place orders for products that they do not have on hand at a distribution center or warehouse. This is a possible explanation for why the listing currently states that the book is “out of stock”; in this case, it is likely the book has just not gone in stock yet.
