If you’ve been following news on Anonymous;Code, chances are you’re familiar with “GAME OVER.” It serves as the game’s opening song, and is sung in Japanese by longtime series vocalist Kanako Itou.
But in datamining Anonymous;Code’s demo, a fan has made a surprising discovery: an unannounced, partially English-language variant of the song can also be found in the game’s files.
So, funny, ANONYMOUS;CODE Trial sound archive included a file named "gameover_short_en" which at a glimpse I thought was the same file as JP, but... take a listen to the chorus #AnonymousCode pic.twitter.com/9R5Z7NOypB

This version of the song begins just as the official upload does, with its lyrics delivered in Japanese. However, the variant diverges at just past the halfway point—here, the vocalist begins to sing entirely in English.
As there has been no official mention of this variant to this point, we can only speculate as to its significance. Though it could be planned for use in the upcoming English localization of Anonymous;Code, it could also be utilized in the Japanese release in some manner.
This is notably not the first time Kanako Itou has sung for the series in English; of relevance may be the Steins;Gate Elite opening song, which in all versions of the game was sung in English.
