Fan group Committee of Zero has announced today their restoration of the classic Steins;Gate Cosplay Patch, available through the latest update to their fan improvement patch for the Steam release.

The Cosplay Patch made its debut through Steins;Gate’s 2010 Japanese PC release, allowing players to swap the characters’ outfits out for cosplay-outfit equivalents—functioning not unlike Chaos;Head NoAH’s own lingerie DLC.
To this point, however, the Cosplay Patch had yet to make a reappearance in any modern rerelease of Steins;Gate; it was seemingly doomed to remain locked to an outdated, Japanese-only port. However, thanks to this fan revival of the feature, many English-speaking fans will be able to experience the Cosplay Patch for the first time—witty references intact and in its full glory.
