This is a spoiler-free, completionist guide for the Steins;Gate 0 visual novel. It will guide you through attaining all its endings and achievements.

Steins;Gate 0 is much more straightforward than its predecessor. It features five endings and one true ending and getting them usually boils down to a single choice in specific chapters.

The first part of this guide will take you through the story, endings, and how to get the true ending. In the second part of this guide, we’ll walk you through getting the leftover achievements.

With that out of the way, let us begin.

PROLOGUE AND ABSOLUTE ZERO

Click on “New Game” and enjoy the prologue.

After reading for a short while, you will receive your first TIP. Open the “TIPS” menu from the pause screen to get the achievement “Metis, Studying That Which Lies Beneath.” Once you finish the prologue, you will receive the achievement “Open the New Gate.”

Now the first chapter will start. Toward the beginning, you will receive a message. Reply to it with anything to receive the achievement “Resonating Reaction Renvoir.”

Continue reading the first chapter. Once you finish it, you will receive the achievement “Missing Link.”

CLOSED EPIGRAPH

This is the first chapter in the game that features decisions that affect the game’s story and achievement progression.

On 11/29, you will receive a call from Amadeus. Continue reading without answering the call. Okabe will speak a few lines of dialogue that include TIP 165 before answering the call automatically. (If you take the call manually when it starts ringing, you may miss this TIP.)

You will receive a call from Amadeus on 12/5. Do not answer this call, and you will acquire TIP 99 later in the dialogue.

12/15 features the first major decision in the game. Make sure to save the game when Okabe says, “I should really turn my smartphone off until I calmed down a little.” If needed, use the “DATALOCK” feature to avoid accidentally overwriting this save, which we will be using much later in the game.

Once you have saved, open your phone, and you’ll have the option to turn it off. Hit “OK,” and then continue reading until the chapter ends. This will net you the “Closed Epigraph” achievement.

A STRAY SHEEP

This chapter has no choice. Its only achievement, “A Stray Sheep,” is awarded for completing it.

THE ORBITAL ECLIPSE

This is the first chapter that features an ending for the game. Toward the end of the chapter, you will receive the “25% CGs Unlocked” achievement automatically.

You will be given a choice to answer a call from Amadeus on 1/2. This decision determines your first ending—make a save file here, lock it if you’d like, and do not answer the call.

You will receive the achievement “The Orbital Eclipse” for completing this chapter, and you will also be on the path for the Twin Automata ending. Finishing this ending will get you the achievement “Twin Automata.”

Once the credits roll, you will receive several notifications about new sections that you unlocked on the main menu. Head to the section called “Extra” and open “Clear List” to receive the “Those Who Seek History” achievement. Then head to the CG Library to receive the “Those Who Seek Art” achievement. Go to the Sound Library to receive “Those Who Seek Sound.” Finally, go to the Movie Library to receive the “Those Who Seek Movement” achievement.

Now load the save we made in The Orbital Eclipse on 1/2, and this time, now answer the call from Amadeus to progress the game.

ANTINOMIC DUAL

As with the chapter before, this chapter features only one decision that will decide if the story continues, or you reach another ending. On 1/15, you will receive a call from 080X208X705. Make a save file here and lock it if you’d like. Then, do not pick up the phone.

You will receive the achievement “Antinomic Dual” for completing this chapter. Proceed to receive your next ending; roughly in the middle of it, you will unlock the “50% CGs Unlocked” achievement automatically. Completing this ending will net you the “Recursive Mother Goose” achievement.

Now load the save we made in Antinomic Dual on 1/15, and this time, answer the call.

PROMISED RINASCIMENTO

This chapter does not feature any decisions, and as you proceed, you will automatically reach an ending of the same name. Clearing this ending will net you the “Promised Rinascimento” achievement. Completing this ending will also net you a true ending flag, which you’ll need later.

When you’ve completed the Promised Rinascimento ending, load the save you made in Closed Epigraph on 12/15, where you had a choice to turn off the phone or not. This time do not turn off the phone to progress to the next chapter.

X-DAY PROTOCOL

No decisions here. When you finish this chapter, you will receive the “X-Day Protocol” achievement.

PANDORA’S BOX

You will automatically receive the “75% CGs Unlocked” achievement toward the end of this chapter.

You will receive a call from Amadeus on 1/23. Make sure to save your game here and lock the save if you’d like. Then answer the call, and you’ll be on your way to the next ending. When you finish this chapter, you will be awarded with the “Pandora’s Box” achievement. Completing the subsequent ending will net you the “Gehenna’ s Stigma” achievement.

Once you’ve achieved this ending, load the save we made in Pandora’s Box on 1/23. This time do not answer the call.

PRESAGE OR RECOGNIZE

This chapter has no decisions. When you complete it, you will receive the “Presage or Recognize” achievement.

VEGA AND ALTAIR

When you reach the end of this chapter, assuming you’ve followed this guide so far, the credits will roll before the game continues into the next chapter. At this point, the game checks for the true ending flag you automatically received for completing the Promised Rinascimento ending. If you do not have this flag, you will be returned to the main menu after the credits.

The achievement “Vega and Altair” is not awarded right away, but after you complete the next chapter if you have the true ending flag.

MILKY-WAY CROSSING

If you’ve already collected the two missable TIPS in the Closed Epigraph chapter, at the start of this chapter, you should receive the last TIP, granting you the “Enki the All-Knowing” achievement.

Complete this chapter to receive the “Milky-way Crossing,” “Vega and Altair,” and “100% CGs Unlocked” achievements.

Congratulations! You’ve completed Steins;Gate 0.

ACHIEVEMENT CLEANUP

Enki the All-Knowing

This achievement is awarded once you read all the TIPS in the game. There are only two TIPS that are missable, and both can be obtained in the Closed Epigraph chapter.

  • On 11/29, you will receive a call from Amadeus. Don’t pick it up immediately, and you’ll receive TIP 165.
  • On 12/5, don’t answer the call from Amadeus to acquire TIP 99.

Message of Oblivion Renvoir

This is achieved by reading and not replying to a message. Sounds easy, but it might be slightly more complicated than you’d think.

First, read a message and don’t reply to it. The character you ignored will soon message you a sticker reaction, and you won’t be able to reply to them anymore. Now, keep reading all the way up to one of the game’s endings, and you will be awarded with the achievement when you complete the ending.

This is granted for getting all achievements and 100% completing the game. Congratulations!
