Kadokawa has released the second promotional video for Steins;Gate 0. This video shows a few more scenes from the show, and the entirety of the opening song is played.
The trailer looks great in my opinion, and it shows us that the artstyle changed a bit to match the art style of the visual novel. Steins;Gate 0’s visual novel changed quite a bit visually from Steins;Gate, and I personally liked the new style.
The only aspect of the trailer that I thought was a bit strange was the animation quality. There were quite a few moments of static frames, and when there was movement, it seemed to be strangely blurred. Hopefully this is only an issue in the trailer, and the animation quality will be improved when the anime airs.
We got to hear the show’s opening song “Fatima” by Kanako Itou for the first time. Kanako Itou is well known for her vocals for many songs in the Science Adventure series. I think Fatima is a great song, and fits the themes of the story well. I’m also looking forward to seeing how they handle the opening from a visual perspective.
The Steins;Gate 0 anime will air on April 12. We at Kiri Kiri Basara are highly anticipating this date.
