Chaos;Child
Chaos;Child is the fourth game in the Science Adventure series, and the thematic sequel to Chaos;Head NoAH. It was initially released in 2014 for Japanese audiences. An English-language localization was initially released in 2017.
The story takes place in 2015, six years after the events of Chaos;Head and five years after the events of Steins;Gate. The player follows Takuru Miyashiro and the rest of the Newspaper Club, as they investigate a series of murders titled “The Return of the New Generation Madness.”
At multiple points during the story, a system called the “Delusion Trigger” will appear. The player is able to decide if they want the protagonist to witness a positive delusion, a negative delusion, or no delusion at all. These choices may change Takuru’s viewpoint, as well as who he trusts. Depending on the player’s delusion choices, the story may branch at certain points.
Our guide to completing the game can be found here.

Chaos;Child has been released on the Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and 4, PlayStation Vita, PC, and mobile phones in Japan. In the West, it is available in English on PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, PC via Steam, and Nintendo Switch.
The game’s Steam page can be viewed here. We highly recommend installing this fan patch for the Steam version, as it introduces a large number of quality of life improvements.
We recommend staying away from the anime adaptation, as it only had 12 episodes and an OVA to adapt a story that is much longer than any of the other Science Adventure titles. This low episode count dampens many plot twists and vital scenes that needed more time to be developed.
