Spike Chunsoft has announced that Steins;Gate: Octet of Shifting Space is now available for download on Steam as a bonus game for eligible purchasers of Steins;Gate RE:BOOT. According to their October 29 announcement, players can access and manage the bonus game by navigating to the DLC section of Steins;Gate RE:BOOT in their Steam library.
Octet of Shifting Space is a limited-time purchase bonus available to players who purchase Steins;Gate RE:BOOT during its early purchase bonus campaign period. The campaign began during the game’s preorder period and will run until November 30, 2026 at 11:00 AM PT. Purchases made after the campaign ends will not be eligible for the bonus game, but players who have already received the bonus on their accounts will be able to download it at any time.
As of this writing, the release has not gone entirely smoothly. On October 30, Spike Chunsoft acknowledged an issue affecting the Steam version of the bonus game where it is currently not being delivered to users’ installation folders as intended. The company suggests it is investigating the issue and has apologized for the inconvenience.
Spike Chunsoft also reported a separate launch issue affecting the Xbox Series X|S version of Steins;Gate RE:BOOT, which currently prevents players from launching the game while connected to the internet. The company has not yet provided an estimated timeframe for resolving either issue. We will share further updates as they become available.
